Here’s what Leatherneck Magazine has to say:

 Battle tested on the coral Atolls of the South Pacific by the toughest Sea Bees in the Navy, the new Papa Nui Tarawa shirt is a hit!

 The Papa’s inspired version of the US Navy N-3 work shirt takes shape with utility and function in a wonderful interpretation of military work wear realized in 4oz cotton poplin and a regular fit: collar tab, Underarm eyelets, side gussets, internal chain stitched French seams through out and made in Japan’s finest facilities, the Tarawa shirt meets the demand. Whether youre building a jungle airstrip or a forward PT base, the Papa now has you covered head and shoulders above the rest.

  • 4oz Japanese milled 100% cotton poplin.
  • Prewashed for comfort and accurate sizing.
  • Collar tab.
  • Underarm vented eyelets.
  • Anti tear side gussets.
  • Internal chain stitched felled seams.
  • All Japan manufacture.
  • In sizing the Tarawa shirt here’s some helpful hints;
  • The fit is regular so it’s not slim nor fitted. The best gauge of accuracy is the shoulder width. A great fit always begins in the shoulders! When the shoulders fit the rest of the shirt will fall naturally and with ease.

    Refer to the size guide In images to find the size you are.*The Papa is 167cm 5’7’ and weighs 72 kilos 158lbs he wears a 38 jacket and 32 pants. His Tarawa shirt is a size Small.

Fantastic Vintage-inspired Shirt

This is a cut above the other military workshirts I've owned. Everything from the long extended collar tab to the cotton tape reinforcing the buttons to the vented underarms is beyond the offerings I've seen elsewhere. The collar is period appropriate and the cut is full with room to move without being baggy. This is going to be a year-round shirt for me.
