On a quick visit down at the Sea Bee Base this morning I found a bunch of early denim LST sample jackets that were sitting around. Each was a different variation produced in Japan but none had met my original vision. The fabric on the other hand was awesome, so grabbing up the bundle I sent them off to my man behind the Singer, Troy O’Shea, with style instructions to produce a new cap. The result is a very limited quantity of a premium product designated the NCB-44. Taking inspo from the 44th Sea Bees, I’ve created an indigo cover, stitched out in khaki thread and an under visor lined in WWII khaki shelter cloth. To top it off, Troy has chainstitched the CB units number 44, front and centre on the cap to create an outstanding salute to our fighting Construction Battalions.
