Okinawa Corpsman Cap

custom styling. An original shelter half is constructed in three sections and often through manufacture or use the colour of the pattern would differ depending on the batch or the usage, and so we’ve mixed the panels up in an effort to recreate the no fuss approach on fabric wastage apparent during the war years. On the inside there’s an all Australian Kangaroo brown leather sweatband and internal seams trimmed out in cotton twill taping. On the front, a hand cut felted Merino wool Corpsman’s cross, sewn on, just as on the original captured image from Iwo Jima, 8 decades ago that we featured on our last release. We’ve not spared one detail on this cap, and we’ve actually constructed the entire cap using both a 1927 and a 1937 model black Singer industrial machine to further enhance the amazing make of this cap.

This is perhaps the finest small batch cap on the market and represents an obsession of ours to bring to you to very best of vintage inspiration, a piece to own that embodies the attentiveness to quality and detail that hasn’t been seen since for the past 80 years.
