On the white sands of the Hui Nalu Club under the palm fronds of the Moana Hotel, the Papa keeps company with his surf buddies, Steamboat, Duke, Florsheim, Chick Daniels and Curly Cornwell. Espousing his home spun philosophy, Papa Nui At 57 years of age was still giving the Wahines what he called his surfboard cure for all miseries. Truly he was the dean of beach boys.
Perched upon his head, he wore his Waikikian style cap, a deep fitting, full visored cap that took its style queues from visiting serviceman but was made in a light woven cloth in a checked pattern known as Palaka that was popular with the locals and those workers from the cane fields.
This is the start of our relationship, it will the be the first of I hope many Papa Nui products. I’m the son of a leatherneck Vietnam vet. Proud to wear this shirt!
