Oh my Gawd…this one is #33 for me, of the Papa’s creation; and might just be ‘the one’. The one they put on you when you’re in your casket (with a vintage pair Aviators, of course). Love the black jungle cloth on this sturdy cap. I’d pay full price for another one, if I thought I’d wear this one out! But…Lofgren builds caps like he does boots…overbuilt! I really don’t think you’d have seen this quality back in the day, when Zero’s and P-51’s ruled the skies (or even MIG’s for that matter). You might be surprised at how shoddy and quickly some of their kit back then was manufactured. ‘Just get ‘em outfitted and out on the line, the deck or in the skies!’
THIS cap is exceptional! Thanks…again, John and John!
Exceptionally comfortable from the very first wear, with superior quality that stands out. A version made from hemp would be a fantastic addition!
10 to 1 they say….guess that makes sense. Been downing MIG-15’s all day everyday in my Sabre. Getting back to Kimpo airbase, not much to do but replay the latest sortee, while sporting my Papa Nui P80 cap. Handsome, sleek, and utility all in one hat, just like my F86. It has a 10 to 1 ratio of cool factor compared to other hats. With those kind of numbers, it’s the only choice. Thanks Papa.
10/10, it’s perfectly shaped and sized even for my big head. A jewel in the collection.
