Papa Visor

With a dense history that stretches back to the 40’s and 50’s and Ernest Hemingway’s days in Cuba and Idaho, my particular fascination with visors harkens back to early surf comps in the mid 70’s when promotional visors were au-riguer. Judges in their tower chairs and contestants on the sand were equally sheltered by these wonderfully practical sunshades. No closed spaces for the heat to build up in the crown and yet still maintaining maximum sun protection. Everyone wore one back in the day and now Papa Nui explores his coastal heritage whilst referencing that golden age of beach life. Think Smirnoff Pro 1974 and the Stubbies Classic 1985 surf contests and then throw in the Papa style ethos and you have the Papa Visor. Available in rugged Olive HBT and hand stamped in black ink with a choice or the Papa brand label or the iconic Papa Nui Atoll Raiders Lightning Bolt.
