A great beanie, it’s hardly left my head since its arrival.
Within a day of my hat arriving l, my wife found it, and after a lot of negotiation decided that I should buy her one of her own.
Oh my Gawd…this one is #33 for me, of the Papa’s creation; and might just be ‘the one’. The one they put on you when you’re in your casket (with a vintage pair Aviators, of course). Love the black jungle cloth on this sturdy cap. I’d pay full price for another one, if I thought I’d wear this one out! But…Lofgren builds caps like he does boots…overbuilt! I really don’t think you’d have seen this quality back in the day, when Zero’s and P-51’s ruled the skies (or even MIG’s for that matter). You might be surprised at how shoddy and quickly some of their kit back then was manufactured. ‘Just get ‘em outfitted and out on the line, the deck or in the skies!’

Yes overbuilt is the perfect discription, I love it when you hold them in your hands and you just know by the weight.
Exceptionally comfortable from the very first wear, with superior quality that stands out. A version made from hemp would be a fantastic addition!
A great fabric in that fabric that gives it a nice heft.
