Developed with the Bill Kelso manufacturing company, this product draws on inspiration and details taken from the 1927 ‘Leathertogs Mfg Co’ specifications of the 37J-1, similar to the version worn by Hollywood Movie Star, Clark Gable. The Hell Diver is an aviation jacket that meets the rugged needs of Leatherneck pilots in the skies over the South Pacific.
Upgrading the outershell to Liberty horse hide leather in Dark Seal, adjusting functional pocket placement and lining the garment with Frogskin camouflage herringbone twill, the Hell Diver provides a significant upgrade to the heavier G-1 Goatskin jackets, delivering a lighter more functional garment specifically developed for war service in the Tropics and imbued with an understanding of the delicate warmth to weight ration that occurs on clammy sea level coral airstrips versus the cold of combat ceiling altitudes.
Available to order build allows you the option to choose from beachside brown Frogskin lining or jungle green Frogskin lining for inland missions.
