WWII USN UTILITY SHIRT 36R

A super rare piece. WWII original HBT USN utility shirt with large oversized chest pockets. early variant with metal USN shank buttons, this jacket is in excellent condition. Has been cropped to be a Vandergrift style as made famous by the Marine general of the same name. Good news is that it has only been top stitched and not cut, so an unpicking could return to original silhouette.

Vintage size 36R this equates to a contemporary 38"-40" sizing.

Just saw these in Tokyo in April for sale on average of $700. That's a indication of how difficult they are to come by these days.
