This winter the Papa Nui Cap Co. brings an awesome interpretation of the A-26 to the Battalion.
Taking the most rugged approach ever, the A-26 is realized in Shinki Hikaku rough out horsehide, making it both incredibly tough and yet it possessing a beautiful and subtle handle.
Originally conceived for our Jet Jockeys in Korea to wear off base whilst enjoy RnR escapades after doing Supersonic Combat against MiG 15’s high over the Yalu, this seasons A-26 is a must have.
Exclusive and elusive and made in very limited numbers, the A-26 is subject to the time and effort required in sourcing the raw materials in Japan and as such is rigorously monitored by the factory who will only selected the finest hides.
Timing of delivery will be based solely on when the manufacture of hides meets the desired quality and standards and so a precise date is undetermined at this point, suffice to say these are slated for Winter ‘24. (AVAILABLE NOW)

My A-26 Shinki just landed and this is such a beautiful piece that I am blown away! The horse hide is soft as butter and the handle lovely. Fits like a glove from new and will develop an awesome patina over time as it accompanies me on R&R off base.

This hat hits every point of interests for me. Fit, quality and historical accuracy. Feels and fits great. Can be worn in any situation, either outside fishing, at the beach, hiking ,or dress it up with a cool look. Packs well in a bag for traveling and can easily pull out and still look great. Stop wearing that vacation hat and wear this instead
First leather hat ever and fit is spot on. Molds to your head like a soft helmet and the bill is very pliable. Quality leather and comfortable fit. I'm glad I also pre-ordered the rough out version.
