Papa Nui collaborates with the best in the business and this union brings to you the first name in tactical radios and comms equipment, Five Four Communications.
James Foley and I have many shared passions that we’ve discussed over the years and these conversations have resulted in our latest product offering, The Nam Skies Tee.
Based on the original 1965 United Airlines marketing slogan, “Fly the Friendly Skies”, enterprising tee shirt printers lampooned the advertising campaign to suit the Vietnam War generation and turned the copyrighting onto its head with an
ironic twist on the original. An image of a fully armed and loaded McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom fighter aircraft replaced the commuter Boeing 737 and the slogan became “Fly the Friendly Skies of Vietnam”.
Originals are very hard to come by so with the assistance of UK based graphic Artist, Adrian McKay, James and I engaged him to research what original images we could find. What Adrian came up with is a testimony to the man’s talent. The best in military style graphics, Adrian has put together a killer interpretation of the real war time shirt, that’s printed on American 100% cotton blanks in California in an original colour way, white on navy, with the large graphic encompassing the back of the tee and a smaller version gracing the left chest.
Excellent reproduction of classic shirt! Contacted Papa Nui to conform shirt size, Papa advised XL = 46. I'm a size XL (46-48) in USGI uniforms, so I ordered XL. Perfect fit; not loose and baggy, not hipster tight. Perfect fit. Shirt came from overseas within a week with tracking all the way. Thanks also for the free Papa ZAP and Col. Kurtz freebies!!! Order with confidence, Papa is a class act (^-^)b

Nice repro of a rare Tee
The cotton is very similar to the one our t-shirts used to be when we were kids. Good job John 👌🏻👌🏻

The Perfect Accessory for the Partigiani
Lightweight and comfortable for patrolling the mountain passes of the Piedmont, stylish enough for slipping into town to gather intelligence (and having a quick Negroni). The GI materials make it a good passport through Allied lines, in case you need to link up with some passing British unit. Tante grazia, Papa!

This is a pair of trunks. There are many like it, but this one is mine
Well, to be honest, there are not that great many like the Papa's. Imagine a pair of trunks in their most pure, simple, purpose-oriented form: nothing to take away, nothing to add. Perfect. This is what it is.

For a stepdad
Damn fine shirt for the dude that went through 'Nam AND married my mom!
Nothing to dislike ! Rare vintage item at reasonable price and in good condition. Well packaged and speedy delivery. Everything ive ever purchased from Papa Nui is now a treasured item . Great business doing high quality stuff
Poorly made stitches didn’t even hold the fabric interesting idea badly executed
Chester, I'd be interested for you to send me further photographs as obviously this isn't a great outcome and being made in Japan these things aren't cheap to produce and we both have a right to better.
Cheers John.
